Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to inform you that “The Golden Jubilee Annual Congress of the Indian Society of Nephrology (50th ISNCON 2019), to be held from 21st - 24th November, 2019. The Scientific Committee of ISN will chart out and provide enlightening scientific programme with enough opportunities for interactive discussions. We extend you a warm invitation to attend this academic fiesta.
Chandigarh, also known as “City Beautiful”, is picturesquely located at the foothills of Shivaliks. It is considered as one of the best experiments in urban planning and modern architecture in India. The city has several tourist attractions like Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden and is in close proximity to several other tourist spots like Shimla, Kasauli, Parwanoo, Manali etc. Delegates travelling from overseas can use the opportunity to visit Taj Mahal, Golden temple and Jaipur. Chandigarh is well connected to major Indian cities by road, air and rail network. In addition, flight connectivity with many more international destinations is envisaged in next one year.

How to Reach Chandigarh
One of the well-planned cities of India, Chandigarh is the common capital of Punjab and Haryana. Also known as “The City Beautiful”, Chandigarh features beautiful lakes, well-maintained gardens and dense greenery. Some of the city’s main tourist attractions include Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden, Garden of Fragrance, Butterfly Park and International Dolls Museum. Being an important travel destination of India, it is well-connected to other major Indian cities by air, road and rail.
Located around 12 km away from the city centre, Chandigarh Airport links the city with rest of the country by an
extensive network of domestic flights. Regular flights from Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Srinagar and Ahmedabad are available for Chandigarh.
Chandigarh has excellent road connectivity with other neighbouring cities. Many direct buses are available from cities
like Mussoorie, Shimla, Mcleodganj, Dharamsala, Delhi, Kullu etc. The National Highway 1 connects Chandigarh with Delhi, which takes around 4 to 5 hours.
Located about 8 km away from the city centre, Chandigarh Railway Station has several frequent trains plying from New Delhi.
From the railway station, you can take buses, autos or taxis to reach any place of the city.
